Marty PfannenstielPresident, Sales & Marketing
President, Sales & Marketing
Marty Pfannenstiel has broad knowledge of how the diversified financial services industry operates and is eager to bring that knowledge to his clients. He has an extensive background in accounting and tax law — skills that complement his position at ChangePath.
Marty graduated from the Washburn University School of Law after completing a bachelor’s in accounting and a minor in business administration. Ambitious, detailed and determined, he possesses an absolute dedication to his advisers, whether working with a brand-new adviser or a multi-decade industry veteran. Whatever he’s doing, Marty seeks opportunities to learn, and his commitment is something he prides himself on, beyond simply working hard. He strives to continuously build and reinforce client relationships, key components of any true partnership.
Marty previously worked for Aviva in the compliance department and as a sales coordinator before returning to school to acquire his J.D. From there, he joined ChangePath in 2014 as a sales recruiter and chief compliance officer, reviewing and summarizing company contracts.
Today, as president of ChangePath, Marty uses his insights about how carriers function to benefit his clients, better communicate with them and assist them through any obstacles they encounter. Doing so establishes trust, which in turn makes them more successful. A triple threat when it comes to estate planning, accounting, and the application of risk management, Marty is the perfect match for those advisers looking to grow their assets under management exponentially. He’s humbled and excited to lead ChangePath as the firm continues to grow.
Outside the office, Martin enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Molly, and with their daughter. He loves being active and is always working to improve his golf game.

Brook BuckWholesale & Adviser Development
Wholesale & Adviser Development
As a member of the sales team, Brook focuses on the education, training, and development of advisers as soon as they are registered with ChangePath. Through offerings such as one-on-one trainings, group education webinars, and business development analyses, Brook and the wholesale team support the progress and growth of our advisers on a continual basis.
Brook spent much of her life in athletics until making the move to the corporate world in 2016. She spent part of 2016 on the institutional client service desk at Goldman Sachs before moving into a technology sales role within the staffing industry. Moving to ChangePath bridged the gap of finance and technology. She enjoys working with independent advisers who are passionate about growing their business and helping the financial lives of their clients.
Brook earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, where she also played tennis and earned All-American honors. Unfortunately, she rarely plays anymore but her coworkers can find her doing workouts at her desk, which she takes a lot of heat for. She spent the last 5 years in Chicago before moving to the Kansas City area with her husband.
